Celebrating 25 Years of Progress and Growth
Looking back, the school year began in September with a vibrant Anniversary Opening Ceremony. The event featured distinguished guests raising their glasses in celebration, as colorful confetti mixed with students' cheers, marking the beginning of a series of festivities.
In November, the Anniversary Fun Day took a creative turn—teachers arranged for the entire school, including students and staff, to visit Hong Kong Ocean Park for an unforgettable celebration. The day started with a grand opening at Whiskers Theater, where everyone gathered for a powerful kickoff event. Classes showcased their originality by designing anniversary slogans and recording videos. Of course, moments of joy were shared through engaging activities, with exhilarating rides adding a thrilling energy to the day's festivities.
December 6 marked a deeply meaningful occasion—the Anniversary Thanksgiving Worship and School History Museum Inauguration Ceremony. The entire school united in gratitude, singing praises, and offering symbolic wheat as a living sacrifice to God. Esteemed guests gathered to witness the wondrous works of God, affirming the school's role as a beacon in the community. A particularly heartfelt moment came with the presence of three generations of Dr. Lau Wing Sang's family, who participated in the worship service and led the museum unveiling, carrying forward a legacy of faith.
The celebrations continued on December 7 with the Anniversary Open Day, drawing over a thousand primary six students and parents from the local district for lectures and interactive booths. In addition, more than four hundred alumni—some returning decades after graduation—brought their families back to their alma mater to reminisce with teachers and capture memorable photos at various campus landmarks. The atmosphere buzzed with joy, filling every corner of the school. The successful event was a testament to the tireless efforts of teachers and students in its planning.
Celebrations extended beyond festivities into academic excellence. The 2024 Secondary School Diploma Examination Value-Added Report revealed continued high progress in the three core subjects and top five subjects. Despite the intense anniversary preparations, teachers remained steadfast in guiding students through public exam challenges, leading to steadily improving results.
“But you, dear friends, by building yourselves up in your most holy faith and praying in the Holy Spirit, keep yourselves in God's love as you wait for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ to bring you to eternal life.”—Jude 1:20-21
