Stitchable Chinese Arts Fashion Design Competition and Catwalk Show 2023/2024

It is the first time for the Art Education Section of the Curriculum Development Institute, Education Bureau and the School of Fashion and Textile, the Hong Kong Polytechnic University to co-organise the captioned event. This activity aims to encourage primary and secondary school students to integrate Chinese art and design elements in fashion design to cultivate aesthetics, creativity, and interest in Chinese culture and art. Among more than 1,500 works from more than 120 primary and secondary schools, our S6 graduate Shek Ching You Sayo (2023-2024) was selected as one of the 48 shortlisted students. Under the professional guidance of the teachers and students at the university, Sayo made exquisite clothes and was awarded the Excellent Design Award. The catwalk show was launched in the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Center Hall 1D on 29 August 2024.
